Anvil Engineering is a structural engineering firm and division of ACME Constructors. Established to support the growing demand for design-build project delivery, Anvil provides structural engineering and design services for industrial and commercial clients across the United States.

What You’ll Do

As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to the design and analysis of structural systems for industrial and commercial projects while working alongside experienced engineering and construction professionals.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural components for industrial and commercial facilities

• Perform structural engineering calculations and analysis to ensure safety, stability, and code compliance

• Design structural steel systems, foundations, equipment supports, and building structures

• Develop structural models, engineering drawings, details, calculations, and construction documents that support fabrication and construction activities

• Prepare engineering specifications and technical reports

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, detailers, and construction personnel to develop practical and cost-effective solutions

• Participate in field visits and site inspections to assess existing conditions, monitor project progress, and verify design implementation

• Use structural engineering software and design tools to develop efficient solutions

• Support projects from initial concept through construction

• Stay current with applicable building codes, industry standards, and engineering practices

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Preferred

• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain EIT certification

• Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer licensure

• Internship, co-op, or professional experience in structural engineering, construction, or a related field

• Experience supporting industrial or commercial building projects

Technical Skills

Experience with, or the ability to learn, the following software and tools:

• RISA 3D

• Revit

• Bluebeam

• Microsoft 365

• STAAD.Pro

Work Environment

This position includes both office and field responsibilities.

• Primarily office-based engineering, design, modeling, and detailing work

• Periodic visits to active construction and industrial project sites

• Approximately 10% to 15% travel for project support and site visits

• Ability to navigate construction sites, including walking, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods when required
